Organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 15th Asian Financial Forum (AFF) was held as an online event from 10 to 11 January 2022. The two-day forum, which is one of the key events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, featured 60 sessions, including keynote speeches, discussion sessions, exhibitions, and the AFF Deal Flow Matchmaking Session. Under the theme “Navigating the New Normal towards a Sustainable Future”, more than 170 global business leaders, policymakers, financial and investment experts, entrepreneurs, tech giants and economists from 16 countries and regions provided their insights into market changes. The event featured keynote speeches by senior financial officials from Mainland China, as well as discussions among global finance experts about the opportunities in green finance and sustainable development. The Forum’s online platform attracted over 63,000 visitors from 80 countries and regions. Mr Sun Yu, Chairman of the Association, was interviewed at the event on the development of green and sustainable finance; the vice-chairman and executive vice-presidents of the Association participated the seminars online.
