On 9 December 2021, the People’s Bank of China (“PBC”) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) jointly organised a seminar on “Hong Kong’s Positioning and Prospect as an International Financial Centre”. The seminar was held online in Hong Kong and Beijing. Mr. Yi Gang, Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Mr. Paul Chan, the Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government, and Mr. Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the HKMA, delivered keynote addresses. Mdm. Gao Ming, Mr. Sun Long, Mr. Zhang Jun and Mr. Li Xiguang, Vice Chairmen of the Association, attended the event.
