Seminar on “Training and Development of Professional Banking Competitions in Hong Kong”

The Chinese Banking Association of Hong Kong (the Association) hosted a seminar on “Training and Development of Professional Banking Competitions in Hong Kong” in the afternoon of 15 March 2018. Dr Raymond Lee, President of Hong Kong Financial Services Professionals Association, gave an introduction on professional banking competitions and training to the members of the Association. Mr Ronick Chan, Vice Chairman of the Association and a member (Banking) of the Legislative Council delivered an opening speech. Mr Kevin Chan, Executive Vice President of the Association was the MC.

Mr Ronick Chan said that the Seminars organized by the Association in 2017 have received overwhelming supports from members and guests from the industry. Mr Chan added further that Chinese banks fully support and participate into professional banking competitions, which serve as opportunities for members to showcase their capabilities and to gain valuable experience. Overall, through participating into the competitions, Chinese banks and their staff could enhance their skills, knowhow and status in the industry.

In the seminar, Dr Lee explained to members the rules, assessment criteria and key points to note about the competitions. Dr Lee also share his experience and a case study with members.

As of today, the Association has 34 member organizations. Mr Kevin Chan said the Association looked forward to providing further services to members in 2018.
